The older citizens of Crawfrodsville and many of the younger ones too, were sadly shocked on Thursday morning to learn of the death of William Enoch. He was ill much of the past year, but as spring came along his health improved and he was able to be about the streets. Last week he had an attack of heart failure that alarmed him. On Thursday morning he got up as usual but at the breakfast table was stricken and fell asleep in death. His funeral will be on Sunday at 2 o'clock at the First Presbyterian church under the auspices of the Odd Fellows lodge of which he was a charter member. On December 22, 1815, he was born in Butler county, O. His wife died in this city, in 1888. To them one child, a son, was born but died in early youth. He was one of the early day citizens of Crawfordsville and he was always one of the popular men in the community. Everybody knew William Enoch and recognized him the grand qualities that make up the best citizenship. In religious belief he was an Universalist and in all things he was the finest type of manhood.
