Ray ENGLISH, son of Baker E. and Emma English died Sunday night at a Clinton, Illinois hospital after suffering a second stroke. Mr. English was born in Waveland Aug 1, 1888 and spent his life as a railroader from which he was retired form the Illinois Central Four years ago because of heart trouble. He was made a Master Mason in Waveland Lodge NO. 300 Feb 21, 1910 and remained in good standing throughout the years. Mr. English was an exceptionally high grade citizen. There remain one brother Charlie English and several nephews and nieces. Brief graveside services were held Thursday afternoon at the Maple Ridge Cemetery. Services were held at 10:30 o'clock at Clinton, Illinois. He was a first cousin of Mrs. Avery Fuller and Mrs. Dee Grandstaff. - kbz
