H. B. English --Baker English died at his home on South Cross Street, Thursday evening at 5 o'clock. He has been in poor health for a number of years and last summer suffered a shock of paralysis from which he never fully rallied. On Wednesday he suffered another shock which proved fatal. Mr. English was born May 8, 1839. He married Miss Emma Marshall and to them 6 children were born, all of whom are living. He served his country in the Civil War and, at the time of his death, was Commander of the local post GAR. He was a member of the ME Church. The funeral services at the home on Saturday morning were conducted by Rev. OP Paxon. Interment on Maple Ridge. -- kbz
