Mrs. Vera C. Endicott, 68, R. F. D. 1, Darlington, a resident of Montgomery county since 1931, died Monday morning at the Witham hospital in Lebanon. She had been in failing health four years. Born May 24, 1882 in Sweden, Mrs. Endicott came to this country with her parents when she was five year old. She married Charles E. Endicott at Indianapolis May 19, 1938. Mrs. Endicott was a graduate nurse of the Augustina hospital in Chicago. She also was a nurse at the hospital several years before coming to Montgomery county. Surviving are the husband; a sister, Mrs. Anna Henerson, of Chicago; a niece, Mrs. Verona Hartman, also of Chicago, and two nephews, Abner Larson and Allen Larson, both of Chicago. Services will be at Proffitt & Sons mortuary Wednesday at 2 p. m. (CDT) with burial in the Greenlawn cemetery at Darlington. Friends may call at the funeral home.
