Clayton D. Endicott, 78, died Thursday of natural causes in his home at 205 Brook St. He was a retired farmer and had also worked for the State Highway and Pool Hall at Darlington. He held memberships in the Shannondale Presbyterian Church and Darlington Masonic Lodge. He was graduated in 1923 from Darlington HS. Born May 16, 1904 at Shannondale, he was a son of James D. and Cornelia Young Endicott. He was married to Edith Wray on March 12, 1932. He is survived by his wife; a son, Wray of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Evelyn) White of Darlington; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Jessie Swiggett of Lebanon; Mrs. Catherine Cox of Waynetown and Mrs. Edith McCafferty of Crawfordsville. He was preceded in death by two brothers. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Powers Funeral Home with Rev. Darnell Bickell officiating. Burial will be in the Shannondale Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-7 p.m. Monday. Masonic services will be conducted by the Darlington Lodge at 7 p.m. Monday. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that contribution made to the Heart Fund.
