Mrs. Martha EMMERT died Wed. June 20, the home of her son, Rev. AL Emmert in Evansville where she had made her home recently. Mrs. Emmert was born Aug 23, 1855, the daughter of James & Angeline RADER DALE in Rush County. She married Lewis Emmert in Lebanon Feb 14, 1875 who preceded her in death June 8, 1938. She lived in Rush County near Advance. After her marriage, they moved to Montgomery co. where they engaged in farming near Crawfordsville and Darlington. Mrs. Emmert had been blind for four years. She suffered a broken hip when she was 86 and another when 91 or four years ago. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Crawfordsville. Four children survive: Elby Emmert of Waveland; Mrs. Eula Bollman of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Stella Finch of Lebanon and Rev. A.L. Emmert of Evansville, at whose home she died; 16 grandchildren; 33 greats; and six great great grandchildren, plus several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. William Eckel at the Nazarene Church Sat morning at 10:30 where the body will be in state for one hour before the services. Friends may call at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eula Bollman, 706 Tuttle Ave after 2:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. - kbz
