Emert - Lida

On Saturday night at 8 o’clock Lida Emert breathed her last and her spirit took its flight. She was 23 years of age. She united with the Christian Church at a very early age. Last winter as the grip was raging, she contracted the dread disease consumption. From its effects she lost her power of speech and never regained it. Her suffering was relieved so far as possible by the use of medicine, but she died in peace without a struggle. Funeral services were held by Rev. N. S. McCallum at the Christian Church Sunday evening. Interment was at Mt. Zion Cemetery
