Chris H. Elsner, 74, owner and operator of Elsner's Greenhouse since 1951, died at 4 p.m. Saturday in Culver Hospital. He resided on Country Club Road. Mr. Elsner operated Minnie Pett's Flower Shop from 1937 to 1946. He was born in Indianapolis Nov. 12, 1900, a son of Henry and Mary Elsner. He was first married to Leona Lutes who preceded him in death. He was married to Minnie Pett in 1933. She died in June 1968. Surviving are a son, Wilbur J. of Crawfordsville; a brother, Henry of Indianapolis; two sisters, Mrs. Katie Smock of Indianapolis and Mrs. Marie Harper of Frankton; and two grandchildren. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. John Stacy officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
