Elmore - Lillie Moore

Lillie E. Elmore of Evansville, formerly of Alamo, age 95, died Friday, October 15, in St. Mary’s Hospital at Evansville. She was born south of Hillsboro, January 24, 1887, the daughter of James E. and Mary Meyer Moore. February 4, 1906, she married Leslie Elmore, who died January 13, 1972. Mrs. Elmore was a member of the Prairie Chapel United Church of Christ at Hillsboro and a 50-year member of Alamo OES. She and her husband lived and farmed in the Alamo community until moving to Evansville in 1970.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Evelyn Elmore of Evansville; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday morning at Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Hubert Wilson officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. – thanks so very much to S
