Mrs. Katherine Wert Elmore, 44, wife of Ulysses Elmore died Wednesday morning at an Indianapolis hospital. She had been ill two weeks. Born Dec 15, 1905 at Waynetown, Mrs. Elmore was the daughter of Austin and Harriet Wert. She married Ulysses Elmore in April 1928 at the home of Mr. Elmore's parents, Rev. and Mrs. HH Elmore. The family home is 8 miles East of here on State Rd 32. Mrs. Elmore was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Crawfordsville. She attended the Waynetown Schools. Surviving are the husband; two daughters, Mrs. John DYKES and Mary Julia Elmore, the Father, and two brothers, Floyd Wert of Muncie and Russell Wert of Bickness. The body was taken to the Proffit & Sons Funeral Home, pending arrangements for the services. - kbz
