Alamo, Nov 15 - Jacob W. Elmore, 73 years of age, died at his home here at 6 o'clock last evening of cancer of the stomach after a severe illness of six weeks, although he has been in failing health for many months.
Mr. Elmore was born near Alamo and has lived in this community all of his life. He was a man of wide acquaintance and many friends, a conscientious member of the Christian church. Fifty-three years ago he was married to Mariah Bruner and to the union six sons and four daughters were born. Deceased is a brother of Mathias Elmore and a half brother of James B. Elmore, Mrs. Alice McMurtry, Mrs. Sarah Miller and Mrs. Nannie Gardner. The funeral services will be conducted Monday, there being a short service at the home and the public service at the Christian church at 1:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Henry. - kbz
