CLARKS HILL - Ora H. Ellis, 81, retired Gladdens Corner farmer, died at 6:45 p.m. Sunday at the Bowles Convalescent Home in Clarks Hill. In failing health for over a year, he had been admitted only three days before. Ellis was born and reared at his farm home and was active in its operation until just recently. Ellis had served many years as president of the Concord Cemetery Association. He was a member of the Stockwell Methodist Church. A son of Thomas and Emma Ellis, he was born on March 8, 1886. He was married on Jan. 6, 1910, to Mable Pearl Buchanan in Indianapolis. Mrs. Ellis preceded him in death in November of 1965. Surviving are several cousins. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Dickerson Funeral Home in Stockwell with Rev. Jack Williams officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.
