Jno. Ellis, aged about 20 years in the employee of Mr. Stanford, three miles east of Ladoga, suicided last Thursday evening by shooting himself in the head. He had been plowing, came to the house, shaved himself, took a rifle out behind the house and after fastening the gun in position pulled the trigger with a stick. He left a note stating he wished to be buried as found. His mother committed suicide by hanging about 3 years ago. - kbz
