Elliott - Emily Johnson

Emily Elliott, 75, well known resident of the Alamo neighborhood, passed away Friday evening at six-fifteen oclock at her home near Alamo. Complications caused her death. The deceased was born in Bartholomew county on September 19, 1855, the daughter of Benjamin and Nancy Johnson. She was united in marriage to William Willis Elliott on September 21, 1876. She was a member of the Methodist church and the Royal Neighbors. Surviving are five sons and two daughters, all of whom lived in and near Crawfordsville. The sons are James, Harry, Homer, Gordon and Roscoe, and the daughters, Mrs. Oscar Simpson and Mrs. Arthur Stewart. Two sisters, Mrs. Olive Brown of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Marshall Snyder, of Indianapolis, also survive.
Funeral services will be held at the Hunt & Ratcliff funeral home Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery. – thanks to Kim H
