Alamo - Edna Ellingwood, 95 of Alamo, died Saturday morning in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville where she had been a patient two weeks.
Mrs. Ellingwood had owned and managed a prominent farm at Alamo since she and her husband moved there from Illinois in 1920. She was a member of Old Union Church north of Danville, Ill.She was born Sept 1, 1883 at Henning, Ill a daughter of William H. and Hattie Hoskins Potter. She was married Sept 10, 1900 to Harry E. Ellingwood, who died in July 1958. She had attended Potter College at Danville Ill.
Surviving are two sons, Eugene Ellingwood of Wallace and Don Ellinwood of Mount Pleasant, SC; a daughter, Mrs. Moreland (Henrietta) Hudson of Darlington; a daughter-in-law, Minnie Ellingwood of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Maude Humphreys, Rt 2, Danville, Ill; 16 grandchildren 41 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two great grandchildren, two brothers and a sister.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown with Rev. James Dawes officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today. - kbz
