Mrs. Mellie Eldridge (sic) Eldred daughter of Col. Gifford died Wednesday night at her home in Colfax after a short illness, she having been taken with pneumonia only last Wednesday. Mrs. Eldridge has been a frequen visitor here and had many warm friends in Crawfordsville who will be pained to learn of her death. - kbz
