Mrs. Mary E. Youngblood Edwards, 68, of Hillsboro died Tuesday July 18, 1972 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville. Born Feb. 8, 1904, she was the daughter of Charles E. and Neellie Isley Youngblood. She was married to William Edwards June 3, 1939, in Covington, who died in October of 1962. She was a retired school teacher and was owner and operator of the Fountain Chemical Co. of Hillsboro. She was educated in the Veedersburg School System and at Indiana State Teachers College. She taught at Stone Bluff and Sterling Schools, before moving to Silver Springs, Md., to work for the department of commerce and teach. She returned to the Veedersburg area about 1964. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Daughters of the American Revolution and Bonebrake Cemetery League. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Saranna Russick of Hillsboro, a granddaughter, Kim Russick of Hillsboro, a brother, Ernest Youngblood of Silver Springs, Md., three sisters, Mrs. Lyle Ramsey of Tarpin Springs, Fla., Mrs. Dorothy Snyder and Mrs. Iris Howard, both of Veedersburg, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Services, Friday at the Fishero Funeral Home, with the Rev. Mr. Kevitt officiating. Burial in Bonebrake Cemetery. --waw
