Edwards, Leota - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Darlington - Mrs. Leota Edwards, 73, Darlington, died Saturday evening in Culver hospital, Crawfordsville, where she has been a patient. She had been in failing health three years.  Born southeast of Darlington, she was married twice, first in 1900 to Birdell W. Saidla, who died in 1924. The couple operated a Darlington restaurant. In 1929 she was married to Verlona Edwards, who died in 1947. She was a member of the Congregational Christian church and Maywood temple, Pythian Sisters.  

Survivors are a son, Collyn W. Saidla, Chesterton; a brother, Ralph Hiatt, Frankfort, and five sisters, Mrs. Ethel Milner, Mrs. Frank Custer, Mrs. John Lynch and Mrs. Ada Moffitt, all of Darlington, and Mrs. Carl Anderson, Ft. Worth, Tex.
