Waynetown Sept 14 - The long expected death of Aunt Kitty Edwards came Monday afternoon between three and four o'clock. She had been an invalid for a number of years with a mind much stronger than her body. She has enjoyed the presence of friends and was always interested in the work of the church. She and her husband, Eli Edwards came here from Kentucky in 1840 and except a few years in Fountain County has been a continuous resident. She united with the Missionary Baptist Church here the winter after her arrival and while not a charter member was its oldest one for some years. Aunt Kitty was one of the best and most widely known citizens in the community. The funeral services will take place Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock from the Baptist Church and will be in charge of the minister, Rev. Hamilton. In February she would have been 94 years of age and 70 years a member of the body of Christian Workers. Eli H. Edwards at whose home she died was the only living child. William Davis, Howard, Walter and Clinton Runyan are grandsons. - kjbz
