Clarence "Ted" Edwards, 53, of Rt 8, Crawfordsville was dead on arrival at Culver Hospital Thursdy afternoon after suffering a massive coronary. Mr. Edwards had been employed in the art department at RR Donnelle & Sons Co more than 30 years.  In his spare time he farmed at his home, located 3 miles northwest of Crawfordsville. HJe had resided there for more than 20 years. He was a veteran of the US Army hving served in Japan during WWII.  He was a member of Wesley Comomunity Church, Waynetown Masonic Lodge 302 and Donnelley Square Club. He was a 1945 graduate of Waynetown HS.

Mr. Edwards was born June 30, 1927 in Union Township the son of Leonard and Carrie Humphreys Edwards. He was married to Shirley Jean Ballard of Crawfordsville, Aug 30, 1945 (55?  65?).  She survives.  Also surviving are his stepfather, Harry Fruits of Crawfordsville; three daughters, Sheryl and SUsan Jane at home and Mrs. Earl (Carol) Heide of Rt 1, New Richmond; a brother, Bob of Rt 4, Crawfordsville; two half brothers, Harry Lee Fruits of Rt 4, Crawfordsville and Joe Fruits, of Waynetown; a half sister, Mrs. James (KIay) Holman of Rt 4, Crawfordsville and three grandchildren , Chad, Meliss and Jeremey.  Services are at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown. BUrial will be in Waynetown Masonic Lodge (sic).  Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. The Waynetown Lodge will conduct Masonic services at 8 p.m.Sunday. - kbz
