ECKELS, Anna - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Late Tuesday afternoon Mrs. Anna Eckels, widow of Squire Howard Eckels, died at the home at Knightsville of great debility aged 85 years.  Mrs. Eckels had been in poor health for some time and had been confined to her bed for the past three months.  The deceased as born at Ellettsville, Monroe County but had resided at Knightsville for the past 13 years.  She was a member of the Church of Christ at Knightsville and was held in high esteem and affection by her friends.  She is survived by one son, Dennis B. Eckels of Knightsville and one stepson Frank Eckels of Bloomington, also a brother, WD Elliott of Crawfordsville and five grandchildren.  The body was taken to Lawson & Son’s Funeral Home and prepared for burial and will be returned to the home.  Funeral services were this morning in the Church of Christ at Knightsville.  Rev. Timmons officiated interment was in Forest Hill cemetery at Greencastle.     --- transcribed by  kbz
