Ebaugh - Irene Thelma

The funeral of Irene Thelma, little daughter of Mr. Ed and Frances Ebaugh, was conducted by Rev. Stanforth on Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the ME Church. Little Irene was 1 year, 2 months 18 days old, being the only child in the family. She died Monday evening at 5 o'clock May 25, 1908 of spinal meningitis and brain fever, and no one knows how awful the poor little thing had to suffer. She was a very bright and sweet little child and everybody liked her... put away those little dresses That our darling used to wear, she will need them on earth never .. she has climbed the golden stair. The pall bearers were four small girls, Ruth Goff, Ester Pape, Maude Canine, Opal William and there were six little girls for flower bearers, Eva Hartman, Beatrice Carrington, Mary Johnson, Ora Cope, Bessie Reynolds, Janette Patton. The little darling is laid to rest in the Indian Creek, Cemetery. -- kbz
