Ladoga July 11 - John N. Easlack died at 6 o'clock this morning, he was 75 years old, was born in NJ and came from that state here 50 years ago, having resided here ever since. He was a shoemaker and for years worked at the trade, his death was not unexpected, as he has been in feeble health a long time. During his 50 years residence here he was never away from home but twice over night that was a visit to his daughter at New Ross two years ago. For a long time he was agent for the Daily Sentinel and was always its most earnest supporter, it was the truth and the principles wer ehis, always a democrat he never failed to vote that ticket the first to last. He has often said to the writer that he knew his time was short, but he hoped and wished that he could live to vote for Bryan again and know of his election. He was a Mason and a devoted one, too, for many years he was Tyley of Ladoga Lodge always attending to his duty, never missing a meeting. The lodge will miss him. He will be buried tomorrow by the order at 3 p.m. A good truthful, honest man is gone. All that lives must die. -- kbz
