New Market, Sept. 16 -- Funeral services for Mrs. Eva N. Easley, who died Thursday in Mansfield, O., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Teague, were held at the Christian church here at 2 p.m. yesterday. Rev. J.C. Nelson had charge and interment was made at Indian Creek Hill cemetery. Mrs. Buford Friend, Mrs. Jessie Beck, Albert Armentrout and Ernest Young sang "Good Night and Good Morning" and "Peace, Sweet Peace" acompanied at the piano by Ethel Busenbark. Pall bearers were Joe Patton, Ernest Smith, Wallace Caplinger, Perry Keys, Orval Demoret and Ernest Hendricks. Mrs. Bell Burgess, Mrs. Abbie Hite, Mrs. Laura Browning, Mrs. Carrie Hicks, Mrs. Otie McClain, Mrs. Maggie Seaman, Mrs. Emma Quinley, Mrs. Mary Hampton, Mrs. Nannie Coons, Mrs. Ama Day, Mrs. Anna Smith, Mrs. Lula Brown, Miss Alta Doyel, Mrs. Bertha Spencer, Mrs. Lottie Powers, Mrs. Fannie Friends, Mrs. Emma Wilkinson, the Loyal Women's Sunday School class and Mrs. Louise Demoret, Miss Lucile Randel, Mrs. Aveline Hendrick, Mrs. Dessie Keys, Mrs. Fern Patton and Mrs. Sepha Caplinger were flower bearers. - greatly appreciated - thanks to Sue P :)

Mrs. Eva N. Easley, 68 years old, former New Market resident, died Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Walter Teague [should read Tague], in Mansfield, Ohio. She had been ill a year with a complication of diseases. Born at New Market, the daughter of William and Sarah Allen Buser, she was united in marriage with Charles Easley of New Market in March 1890. She was a member of the New Market Christian Church. Surviving, besides the daughter at whose home she died are: three daughters, Mrs. Paul Everson of near Crawfordsville, Mrs. Earl Cowdin of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Colyn Saidla of Chesterton, four brothers, William and Arthur Buser of Crawfordsville, and Charles and Roy Buser of New Market, and two sisters, Mrs. Lew Beckner of Frankfort, and Mrs. William Fenstmaker, also of Frankfort. The body will arrive here Friday and will be taken to the Hunt and Reeves funeral home, after which it will be removed to the home of the daughter, Mrs. Paul Everson, north of Crawfordsville.
