GEORGE ARTHUR EARL

The lives of 3 persons was claimed as a result of a 3-vehicle crash which occurred 2 ½ miles east of Rockville Dec 23, 1959. Killed were George Arthur EARL, 53 of Marshall RR1; Mrs. Clifton DAVIES of Roachdale RR and Joseph W. Howard, 49, Ladoga RR. The husband of the dead woman, Mrs. Davies was taken to Union Hospital. Terre Haute with severe injuries including a broken hip. James Earl Wilson, 41 of Indianapolis was hospitalized at Vermillion County Hospital, Clinton.

GEORGE ARTHUR EARL – The body of Earl was removed to Branson & Mau Funeral Home, Rockville where services were held Saturday with burial in Memory Garden Cemetery. He is survived by the widow, Mildred; four daughters, Mrs. Bonnie Riddle of Rosedale; Mrs. Marilyn Millspaugh, Rockville; Mrs. Roberta Wolfe, Gary; Mrs. Grace Lightly of Rockville; two sons, William, Rosedale; Robert, Terre Haute; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Earl of Marshall; 3 brothers, Alfred and Roscoe, Rockville; Ben, Bridgeton; four sisters, Mrs. Herman Teague of Waveland; Mrs. Jack Crook, Marshall, Mrs. Violet Purvis, Indianapolis, Mrs. Charlotte LePre of Biloxi, Miss. Mr. Earl was a member of Catlin Lodge 402 F &A M and Scottish Rite, Valley of Terre Haute. - kbz
