Carl H. Earl, 57, Crawfordsville businessman and fraternalist, died at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday in Culver Hospital, a few minutes after being admitted as a patient. Death was attributed to a coronary occlusion. Born March 24, 1907 in Boone County, Mr. Earl was the son of Charles and Daisy Mount Earl. He married Emma Wilkinson of Crawfordsville June 20, 1929. Active in business and fraternal affairs of this city most of his life, Mr. Earl was club manager of the Crawfordsville Eagles Lodge 13 years and owner and operator of Carl’s Grill in the 100 block of East Market Street the past 11 years. Mr. Earl was a past president of the Eagles Lodge and a member of the Elks Lodge and the Fraternal Order of Police. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Emma Earl, who was associated with her husband in business; two daughters, Mrs. Yolanda Delks of Columbus, and Mrs. Sharon Switzer of Crawfordsville, and three brothers, Clifford Earl of Crawfordsville, Harold Earl of Indianapolis and Robert Earl of Fort Wayne. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Hunt and Son Funeral Home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Wednesday. - kim h
