"Death's Harvest" - John M. Eads, aged 35 years died in his home SW of the city Sunday night at 8 o'clock. The funeral occurred Tuesday at 10:30 o'clock at Browns Valley Rev JM Kendall officiating.

John M. Eads, aged 35 years, died at his home southwest of the city last night at eight o’clock. The funeral will occur tomorrow at 10:30 o’clock at Brown’s Valley, Rev. J. M. Kendall officiating.
Source: Crawfordsville Daily Journal Wednesday 22 April 1891 J. H. Eads died on Sunday night. The funeral was preached on Tuesday at Brown’s Valley and his remains were interred at the cemetery on the Terre Haute gravel road.

J. H. Eads died at his home at nine o’clock Sunday evening after only one week’s illness of congestion of the stomach. He was a member of the Baptist church here and an incessant worker in the Sunday school and church. He was always at his post as teacher of the young men in Sunday school, when health would permit. He will be missed as no one else would have been both in family and social circles. He was 33 years old and leaves a wife and a son and numerous friends to mourn his loss.
