Everett F. Ead, 65, former resident of Montgomery County and a widely known horse trainer living at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, was fatally stricken at work there early Saturday morning. He was born in Monroe County on Feb. 14, 1905, a son of John W. and Sally Jane Todd Eads. He was a member of Elmdale United Methodist Church and Waynetown Masonic Lodge and was an employee while here of R. R. Donnelley & Sons Co. Mr. Eads had lived in Indianapolis the last 22 years, training harness horses. Surviving are four brothers, Thomas W. of Frankfort, Raymond of Darlington, Ezra E. of Plainfield and Lloyd W. of St. Cloud, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Lida Horn of Darlington, Mrs. Lora Higbee of Waynetown and Mrs. Rhetta Fouts of Crawfordsville, and nieces and nephews. A sister is deceased. Funeral rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Revs. Jean McCan and Guy E. Tremaine officiating and burial in Oakland Cemetery near Elmdale.
