Waynetown - Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Friends Church, Newport for Verner B. DWIGGINS 77 a retired farmer of that area who died at noon Friday at Vermillion County Hospital, Clinton. Prior to going to Newport he operated a grocery and meat market, Waynetown. Mr. Dwiggins was born Jan 6, 1884 in Waynetown, the son of Charles and Susannah Brant Dwiggins. He was married May 30, 1906 to Miss Mable Harshaw who died. Nov 16, 1960. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Hazel Proffit of Washington, Michigan; two sosns, Wilson of Danville, Ill and Neal of Newport; a brother, John Dwiggins of Leesburg; 8 grandchildren and six greats. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Park, near Terre Haute. - kbz
