We are called upon to chronicle the death of an aged and respected citizen this week. Leaven Dwiggins departed this life on Friday morning Dec 24 of lung fever. The deceased was 72 years of age and had by saving and working very hard, obtained a considerable amount of this world's goods. He was an efficient worker in the cause of christianity and was a member of the Christian Church at which Church his funeral services were preached last Sunday by Rev. LC Warren after which the remains were interred in the Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
