At 2 o'clock this morning Isaac Dwiggins, one of the most prominent citizens of Wayne Twp and well known all over the county died at his home a mile and a half east of Waynetown. He had been seriouly ill for the last 4 months with organic heart trouble and his suffering has been something terrible. During all this time he has been unable to lie down and sleep has been next to impossible. Mr. Dwiggins was a native of Montgomery County, having been born May 16, 1841 on the farm now owned and occupied by James B. Elmore near Alamo. With the exception of a year or two spent in Iowa he has passed his entire life within the confines of his native county. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Levin Dwiggins, who lived on a farm near Wayentown for many years. John C. Dwiggins of Waynetown is a brother and Mrs. Martha Born, of Chicago is a sister. Besides his wife, 3 children surviving him, Irvin C. of this city, Alva of Waynetown and Levin of near Waynetown. One son, the odlest, Wilbur C. died in 1874. Mr. Dwiggins was married Oct 4, 1864 to Miss Margaret Cossairt at Danville, Ill. He was a member of the christian Church and a good citizen in every sense of the word. He had the respect of his friends and neighbors and the love and affection of his family. - kbz
