DUTTON, Merritt - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Linden, April 19 – Merritt Dutton, prominent Linden man died at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette at 2:45 o’clock this afternoon as the result of a stroke of paralysis suffered several days ago.  He was taken to the hospital last Thursday.  He was the son of Ada and Mary Brown Dutton and was born in Tippecanoe County on August 22, 1857.  He is survived by the widow and two nephews, the latter living in Lafayette.  The funeral will be held from the home here Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. The Rev. CM McClure will officiate and burial will be made at the Concord cemetery.    ~~~transcribed by kbz
