HENRY DURHAM

-Henry Durham, son of Daniel and Louisa Watts Durham was born in Vigo County, Indiana five miles south of Terre Haute, Nov 22, 1831. He died June 28, 1916 aged 84 years 7 months 6 days. He was the second child of a family of six all of whom have preceded him to the life beyond except the two youngest, Lucy and William. At the age of 12 he was bereft of his father. The children were put out among friends, Henry lvied for one year with his uncle, Thomas Durham then he lived for a while with William Wildman. Afterward he came to Eli Newlin's where he remianed till nearly 20 years of age. Aobut that time he went to live with Andrew Tomlinson in order to learn the blacksmith trade. While making his home at Andrew Tomlinson's he wooed and won Susanna Newlin to be his wife. They were united in marriage Sept 8, 1852. (IF there is any more of the obit, it is gone) - kbz
