There has been considerable speculation as to the disposal of the old John DURHAM place, following the death of Harry Durham. It seems that the widow of John Durham left a will bequeathing the 80 acres to Harry, Wakefield, Nancy and Dorcas Durham. This will was probated but the formal transfer of the land on the auditor's books was never made. The death of the 3 others leaves Wakefield the sole heir and during his lifetime there will be no change. Dr. TZ [Thomas Zopher Ball] Ball is guardian for him. The administrator of Harry Durham's estate will collect a life insurance policy and pay the funeral expenses and other obligations but will have nothing to do with the real estate.
