John Walter DUNN, a former superintendent of the Waveland School died in Indianapolis on Saturday after two years illness at age 71. He was a native of Spencer County where he taught in the schools, served as county superintendent and was associated with the Kennedy Mathematical Block Business. A fter leaving here he taught in several schools and for 10 years was in charge of the Indian Reading Circle Work. Latterly he has been connected with Fountain Square State Bank in Indianapolis. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Alice Dunn DENNY. In a note enclosing the news item, John. O. Rosebaum says: "He was superintendent in 1894-5. He was known to some of the older residents, John Johnson and several of that age, including my wife, were students under him." His wife, Katie died in the fall of 1937. - kbz
