Lafayette Courier: It is our painful duty to announce the death of Miss Jeannette C. Dungan at Attica yesterday, after a long and painful suffering from a cancer at the base of the tongue. Miss Dungan was some 60 years of age, was many years a resident of Crawfordsville, and has many relatives and friends in this city. She was a nice of Mrs. Dr. Wilstach and comes of old Philadelphia parentage. Her brother, John C. Dungan of Oregon, has been with her during her last days on earth, doing all he could to soothe her painful passage out of life. She was a devout member of the Methodist Church and truly Christian woman in more than a sectarian sense. - kbz
