Dunbar - Porter

Crawfordsville, July 24 – Porter Dunbar, age 15, son of Mr. and Mrs. SM Dunbar of this city, is in critical condition at Culver Union Hospital here from a bullet wound he secured yesterday when accidently shot by Marvin Campbell at the home of Campbell’s parents, north of Darlington. The young men were shooting at a target with a small rifle when the gun was discharged accidentally. The bullet entered Dunbar’s forehead between the eyes and lodged beneath the right ear. If Dunbar recovers it is feared he will lose the sight of one eye. - not sure if he lived or died
