Mrs. Nancy E. Duke, 80, of 1304 Mill St., died Wednesday evening in her home. She and her husband had been managers of the Crawfordsville Country Club for several years. Mrs. Duke was a member of the First Christian Church and the Legion Auxiliary. Born Dec. 28, 1894, at Monroe, Tenn., she was a daughter of Richard and Susan E. Smith. She married Basil L. Duke on June 1, 1918. He survives. Also surviving are three sons, Basil L. Jr. of Carmel, Jack C. of Beuna Park, Calif., and William H. of Lafayette; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Twelve brothers and sisters are deceased. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Howard Miller officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. – jlr
