Mrs. Jennie A. DUKE passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Grace Heath Minnich, 315 S. Green Street at 6:45 o'clock Thursday morning. She had been ill many months with a complication of diseases and seriously ill the last 10 weeks. Mrs. Duke was born February 1, 1859 at Brent, Ohio the daughter of Mordecia and Cecelia M. Gregg. She was educated in the public schools of Franklin, Ohio. She was married to Charles F. Duke Dec 21, 1881 in Franklin, Ohio. Mr. Duke brought his bride to a farm near Hillsboro, Indiana where they resided until his death on September 21, 1944. During the past 7 years, Mrs. Duke has made her home with her daughter, Grace in this city. Mrs. Duke was a member of the United Brethren Church. Mrs. Duke is survived by 3 children: Mrs. Grace Heatlh Minnich of this city; Mrs. Cecile D. Myer of Hillsboro and Wilbur A. Duke, Galveston, TX; one sister, Mrs. Mary C. Goesuch, Franklin Ohio; two brothers, Monroe J. Gregg Omaha, NB; and Harry Gregg, Kansas city MO; 3 grandchildren and one great grandchild. The body was taken to the Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home and will be returned to the family home late Thursday afternoon where friends may call. The funeral will be held at the Proffitt & Sons Funeral Home Saturday afternoon at 2 Rev H Earl Moore pastor of Trinity Methodist Church will officiate. Burial in Masonic Cemetery, Waynetown. - typed by kbz
