Drake - Moses
Note: There is much controversy as to his middle initial -- it has been found by this researcher alone as C, P, O -- but in general instances, I'd go for the "C or O" -- KZ

The many friends of Dr. Moses O. Drake, of Ladoga, will be surprised and pained to learn of his sudden death which occurred Monday in San Francisco, Cal. Dr. Drake was initiated into the Mystic Shrine at Indianapolis a week from last Friday, and on the following Monday left for California. He had Bright's disease but his condition was in no wise considered serious. He was in apparently fair health and his friends were astonished when Major Foote, Monday p.m. received the following telegram from the secretary of the board of Masonic relief of San Francisco; "*Moses O. Drake of your Commandery, dead. Telegraph instructions*." From that it is inferred that Dr. Drake must have dropped dead or have died very suddenly. His son in Ladoga and daughter in Delphi were at once notified. The remains will be brought here for internment and will be buried by the side of those of his wife in the Masonic cemetery. Dr. Drake was one of the most prominent citizens of the county and a gentleman honored and respected by all.
