DOWEL, Thelma Gertrude - Montgomery InGenWeb Project

Thelma Gertrude Dowel, four and one half year old daughter of Mrs. William Dowel, died Saturday at her home on Covington Street, making the fourth child of the family to die within the last six months. The death grapple seems to hover over this family. Last spring two children died with diphtheria, while during the present epidemic two others have been summoned from pneumonia. The deceased is survived by her parents, three sisters and one brother. Funeral services were held from the residence this morning at 10:30 o’clock with Rev. Elmore, pastor of the Baptist Church officiating. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. - kz
