Samuel H. Dowden, 43, Lafayette died Monday evening in St. Elizabeth Hospital following a heart attack. He was born March 22, 1927 in Lafayette to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dowden. He married Anna Mae Walker on Oct 25, 1952 at Crawfordsville and began housekeeping there. He was employed by Lafayette AUto Supply. He was a member of Missionary Baptist Church of Lafayette. He is survived by his widow. Mr. Dowden was preceded in death by his father in 1967. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Bright & Burkhart Funeral Home at Crawfordsville. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery at Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
