Ladoga, March 16 -- Charles E. Douglas 80 died Saturday evening at 6:40 at his home on Black Creek Road. Death was the result of an ailment of the heart and came after an illness of several months although his condition had become serious only within the past four days. He was born in Ladoga Nov 10, 1886 the son of Edwin and Mary Thompson Douglas and was married to Malinda Boraker on June 11, 1893 in the home where he died. He was a member of the Mt. Zion United Brethren Church and had farmed all his life. Surviving are two sons, Raymond Douglas and Ralph Douglas; four daughters, Mrs. Iva Weir, Mrs. Gladys Demoret, Mrs. Eula Keller and Mrs. Allena Rivers; a sister, Mrs. Phronia Britton; a brother, Thompson Douglas of Holt, MO; 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the Mt. Zion Church with burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. -- typed by kbz
