Charlie B. Dooley, son of Jasper N. and Emma A. Dooley died at 3 o'clock a.m. Nov 1st, 1887 after a week of illness and suffering. He was just past his 11th birthday and was born in Montgomery County, Indiana
His funeral occurred Wednesday at 3 p.m. Many friends gathering to weep with the afflicted family from whom the dear boy in the lightness and bouyancy of early life was so suddenly called away.
Thank God it was not darness but heavenly light and glory that covered him and bore him away to the "upper fold," where the tender shepherd guards with loving care his flock. A bright light has been quenched in the home and in his Sunday School class, but God grant that the flight of the angel boy may only prove "A link between this world and that unseen, That shall draw all who loved him Gentley to that land where We shall find out treasurers all awaiting, where change and death and parting never come." - transcribed by kbz
