Barton Warren Dooley, 89, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thomas Trueman, at 11 o’clock Saturday morning. A cerebral hemorrhage was the cause of his death. Funeral services were held at 1:30 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Presbyterian church with Rev. H. Ray Sigler officiating. A memorial address was given by Rev. E. M. Woodard and the quartet, consisting of Mrs. Frank Adams, Mrs. Roscoe McCampbell, Lou Pickard and Ora Newlin assisted by Miss Susie Lee Trueman at the piano, furnished special music. A military burial at Bethany Cemetery was in charge of the American Legion of Rockville

Barton DOOLEY, the father of Corta Dooley died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Thomas TRUMAN near Marshall on Saturday. Funeral services at the Marshall Presbyterian Church on Mondaya fternoon were in charge of Rev. H. Ray Sigler, assisted by Rev EM Woodard. Burial in Bethany cemetery. A detail from the American Legion acted as a firing squad and Taps were sounded. Mr. Dooley was the son of Silas and Sarah Dooley and was born near Marshall June 4, 1844. In 1866, he married Harriet MILLS who died in August 1901. He enlisted in the Union Army in 1862 reenlisted in 1863 and again in 1864. He was discharged from the service in this year on account of a broken leg. He was the last surviving veteran in Washington Township. Besides the children mentioned a son, Silas Dooley lives in Marshall.

B. W. Dooley, age 89, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Tom Trueman, Saturday morning. He had been in failing health for some time. He was the last Civil war veteran of this township. He had served as postmaster here for 14 years. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church, Monday afternoon, in charge of Rev. H. Ray Sigler, Rev. E. M. Woodard assisting. Military services were held at Bethany cemetery. Pallbearers were Owen Dooley, Reuben Dooley, Will Kinkaid, Clarence Engle, Allen Hadley and Warren McClure. Mr. Dooley is survived by the daughter, Mrs. Ida Trueman and two sons, Silas and Corta.
