Ladoga -- Lucinda A. HOWELL DODD, who died at Ladoga on Tuesday was born in Floyd Co, Va Jan 1, 1853. She was the daughter of Andrew J. and Fannie Howell. She was married to Caleb N. Dodd Feb 9, 1872. She and her husband came to Ladoga the same year where they lived until her death. To this union 9 children were born 7 sons and 2 daughters, all survive but one, Mrs. Alice Dodd ZIMMERMAN, who died Jan 4, 1896, leaving one child, Miss Merrill Zimmerman of Ladoga. Of the sons Lee is the odlest and Carl the youngest. The sons are Lee and Carl of Ladoga Ward ? of Nashville, Tenn; Walter, Harry, Edgar and Harold of Chicago and Mrs. Magdaline Mann of Indianapolis the only surviving daughter. She has been a faithful member of the Christian church for many years. She departed this life at the home of her son, Lee Dodd, Aug 12 age 60 years 7 months and 12 days. besides her husband and children she leaves two sisters and one brother in Virginia to mourn their loss. The funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at the Christian Church by Rev SG Smith, interment in Ladoga Cemetery. - typed by kbz
