Helen H. Doan, 87, Crawfordsville died 11:22 a.m. Wednesday in St. Clare Medical Center. Mrs. Doan had been a laborer in the print shop at Mid States Wire & Steel. Her memberships included Alamo-Waynetown Cahapter 495 Order of Eastern Star and Liberty Chapel Church. She was a 1933 Waynetown HS graduate. She was born March 15, 1915 at Wingate to lee and Leona Harper Humphreys. She married James Doan June 14, 1936. He is deceased. She then married Lewis Fruits in 1974. He did in 1975. Survivors include two sons, Steven, Roswell, GA and R. Alan Doan, Dallas, Texas; three stepsons, Russell, New Richmond and James and Dennis Fruits, both of Crawfordsville; three stepdaughters, Verda Mill, Crawfordsville, Dema Kay Delp, Marshall and Dianna Waye, Waynetown; two grandsons and several stepgrandchildren. Two brothers, Claude and Roy Humphreys and a sister, Gladys Humphreys are deceased. Funeral services are schedule 10 a.m. Monday in Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 S. Indiana 25, Waynetown with Rev. Allen Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 2-6 p.m. Sunday. Memorial may be made to the Montgomery County Animal Welfare League, POBox 5, Crawfordsville, Ind 47933.
