Mrs. Ellen Dineen, 70 years old, died Monday night at her home, 601 S. Walnut St, Crawfordsville at 11 :30 o'clock following an illness of several weeks. Death was due to heart trouble. Mrs. Dineen was born in Ireland, the daughter of Edward and Mary O'Connor. She with her parents came to this country when she was less than a year old and has lived here the most of her life. Her husband, John Dinneen, died two years ago and a son, James P. Dinneen died several years ago. Mrs. Dineen was one of the best known women of Crawfordsville and had a host of friends. She was a woman of beautiful character and a devout Christian. She was a member of St. Bernard's Church from which the funeral will take place Thursday morning at 9 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. William Sullivan. Mrs. Dinneen is survived by a daughter, Mary, a sister, Catherine O'Connor and a brother, John A. O'Connor of Cincinnati. - kbz
