For the past 3 or 4 weeks the aged man has been confined to his bed but prior to that time he had been in failing health for more than a year. His demise was due to the diseases attendant upon his advanced years. During the past summer he has been confined to his bed a part of the time. Mr. Dickey was a member of the Methodist Church and had been for many years. He regularly attended both Sunday school and devise services every Sunday until his health caused him to become so enfeebled last summer that he could not longer do so. The funeral services will be here at the home of his daughter, Mrs. McCorkle, where he died at 2 on Saturday afternoon and will be conducted by Rev Mr. Howard of Mulberry, Ind, a former pastor of the Methodist Church here. - kbz
