Wingate, Feb 6 -- Livona Cynthia Dickerson died at 4:30 o'clock Wednesday at the home of her son in Wingate after a six months illness with complications. Livona Cynthia Dickerson was born November 24, 1861, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Chauncey at Olney, Ill. She was married in 1881 to Dr. J.W. Dickerson who died in 1921. She was an active member of the Methodist Church, the Ladies Aid society and several missionary socieites. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Pythian Sisters. Mrs. Dickerson had resided in Wingate for the past 23 years. Surviving are a son, R.C. Dickerson, funeral director at Wingate, a sister, Miss Laura B. Chauncey of Champaign Ill; a brother, Alvin D Chauncey of Indianapolis and five grandchildren, John William, Virginia Evelyn, Raymond, Livena and Kenneth. The funeral will be held from the home of the son on Friday afternoonat 2 o'clock. Burial will be at the Meharry cemetery. - kbz
